Salary: £37,700 - £38,682 per annum
Hours: Full-time (term time only - 39 weeks/year) 8:30am to 4:30pm

Overview:


Compass Associates is excited to be partnering with a respected, values led independent education provider to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist for their specialist school based near Farnborough, Hampshire. This growth based hire comes at an exciting time as the school expands from 55 to 90 pupils, creating a new opportunity for a clinician who is eager to make a difference.

 

You’ll join an experienced Band 8 SLT on site, offering you immediate peer support and clinical supervision while developing your own clinical confidence. This is an ideal role for a top Band 5 or entry Band 6 clinician, although there is some flexibility for the right candidate.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to children with autism and associated communication needs

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to integrate therapeutic approaches in the classroom

  • Contribute to EHCP outcomes and attend regular termly reviews

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing service development

 

Candidate Requirements:
Essential:

  • HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist

  • Experience working with children and/or within SEN environments

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Confident, proactive, and comfortable in a busy school setting

Desirable:

  • Band 5+ experience (top Band 5 or Band 6 entry level ideal)

  • Background in working with autism or neurodevelopmental conditions

  • Experience with EHCP processes
