Compass Associates are proud to partner with a leading private healthcare provider to support the growth of their newly opened CAMHS ward in Essex. With over 40 years of expertise in delivering exceptional mental health services, this provider is known for its commitment to innovation, compassion, and clinical excellence.

 

We are now seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse (RMN) to join the multi-disciplinary team within a specialist adolescent inpatient unit. Set in a calm, therapeutic environment surrounded by green space, the service supports young people experiencing a range of mental health challenges, offering structured and individualised treatment programmes.

 

You’ll play a central role in shaping the care journeys of young people and will be supported by experienced MDT colleagues, modern infrastructure, and a strong leadership team who genuinely invest in your development.

 

 

Criteria

 

  • RMN Qualification with an active NMC PIN
  • Minimum 6 months post-qualification experience in a mental health setting
  • Experience within CAMHS or inpatient environments is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to safeguarding and quality care

 

 

Your Role

 

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to a defined caseload
  • Assess, plan and implement care in collaboration with patients and families
  • Act as a named nurse and contribute to multidisciplinary decision-making
  • Take part in shift coordination as required, including nights and weekends
  • Participate in reflective practice and professional development opportunities

 

 

Shift Pattern


This is a full-time role (37.5 hours), based on a rotational shift pattern that includes days, nights, and

weekends.

 

 

 

 

Interview Process


One-stage interview with the Ward Manager and members of the senior leadership team. Interviews can be arranged virtually or face-to-face.
