Overview:

Compass Associates is excited to be collaborating with a leading independent fostering agency in the UK, committed to making lasting and positive differences in the lives of children and young people. Together, we are recruiting a Supervising Social Worker to join their team with a reflective and creative approach.

Work Pattern:

Monday – Friday.

Location:

This is a hybrid role in Somerset, with a split between working from the office and home or making visits.

Criteria:

• Hold a recognised professional qualification in Social Work.
• Be registered with Social Work England (SWE).
• Commit to providing wrap-around support by taking part in our out-of-hours on-call service (1 in every 6 weeks)
• Have experience in fostering-related social work and/or children’s social care, such as working within a looked-after children’s team.
• Have access to a car and hold a valid driving licence.

Salary and Benefits:

This Supervising Social Worker role is paying up to £41,000 per annum and includes an impressive benefit package:

• 45p per mile plus a £100 monthly vehicle-maintenance allowance.
• 25 days’ holiday, increasing to 28 days after 4 years, plus all bank holidays and 2.5 additional days each year for your birthday, a health and wellbeing day, and a half-day festive shopping break.
• Long-service awards of £200 after 2 years, £400 after 5 years, and £600 after 10 years, plus qualify for a special recognition award of up to £500 for exceptional performance.
