Permanent | Full-time or Part-time

Winchester, Hampshire

Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for a role with genuine clinical freedom in a family-run practice?
Would you like the autonomy to manage cases your way, with access to specialist backup when needed?

Looking to be part of a stable, long-standing team where your experience is valued?

A respected family-run small animal practice in Winchester is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their established clinical team. This role supports a growing caseload and offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of a well-regarded independent practice.

The Practice

Established in 1955, the clinic is run by two Veterinary Surgeons and is known locally for continuity of care and long-term client relationships. The team consists of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 qualified Veterinary Nurses, 1 trainee nurse, and a dedicated reception team, offering strong clinical and operational support.

The practice has recently expanded its facilities and continues to invest in its future, including a new dedicated surgical preparation and operating area. Diagnostic equipment includes ultrasound, endoscopy, and cardiac diagnostics, and the team works closely with an orthopaedic specialist and a referral soft tissue surgeon for complex cases.

  • CPD budget of approximately £1,500 per year

  • A Veterinary Surgeon confident in first opinion small animal practice

  • Strong clinical decision-making skills
