The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Deputy Manager to join the leadership team. You will play a key role in supporting the Home Manager to maintain the highest standards of nursing care and compliance, while developing and inspiring a team of dedicated professionals.
This is a full supernumerary position, allowing you to focus on leadership, governance, and quality without being scheduled into direct care shifts.
A key focus of this role will be governance, compliance, and clinical auditing, ensuring that care and operational processes consistently meet or exceed statutory and provider standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Registered Manager in day-to-day clinical and operational management

Lead, mentor, and develop the nursing and care teams to deliver exceptional person-centred care

Oversee governance, compliance, and quality assurance, including audits and CQC readiness

Ensure medication management is safe, accurate, and audited regularly

Maintain policies, procedures, and risk assessments in line with best practice

Liaise with residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders
About You
We’re looking for a passionate and clinically confident nurse leader who thrives in a supportive and quality-focused environment.
Requirements:

NMC Registered Nurse (Active PIN – RGN, RMN, or RNLD)

Minimum of 3 years’ post-registration experience
-
Proven leadership or deputy management experience within elderly or nursing care

Strong knowledge of governance, compliance, audits, and CQC standards

Excellent communication, mentoring, and organisational skills
-
Commitment to continuous improvement and clinical excellence
