The We Care Group’s Shining Star Awards 2025 are scheduled for Saturday, 22nd March 2025 in Manchester. This annual event celebrates the dedication, compassion, and excellence of the group’s teams. The awards aim to recognize and honor the remarkable contributions of their staff members.

The inaugural Shining Star Awards took place last year on 23rd March 2024 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, with over 250 attendees. Awards presented included:

• Compassion Award: Carol Edwards, Healthcare Assistant at Daleside
• Unsung Hero Award: Zuzanna Baginksa, Administrator at Banksfield
• Care Home Award: Saltshouse Haven
• Residents’ Choice Award: Chris Douglal, Maintenance at Saltshouse Haven
• Outstanding Leader Award: Ria Lilley, Home Manager at Banksfield
• Values Champion Award: Kathryn Lincoln, Healthcare Assistant at Sowerby House
• Rising Star Award: Jess Borer, Activities Coordinator at Swansea Terrace
• Diversity & Inclusion Award: Pam Rodgers, Peripatetic Manager
• Dementia Hero Award: Christina Kay, Activities Coordinator at Sowerby House

These awards highlighted the outstanding contributions of staff members and teams within the We Care Group. As the 2025 awards approach, the group has expressed excitement about recognizing and celebrating the incredible people who make their teams truly shine.
