Compass Associates are proud to be working with a valued client in their recruitment for an experienced Deputy Manager for their medium-sized nursing home in Worthing. This is a chance to join a growing independent provider with a strong ethos of care and support, taking on a key leadership role.
This role would suit a Deputy Manager passionate about person-centred care and experienced in managing teams within a care or nursing setting. You will focus on supporting the Registered Manager in operational leadership, staff supervision, compliance with CQC regulations, and enhancing resident experience while promoting a whole-home approach.
The Candidate
The successful candidate must have supervisory experience in a care home and demonstrate a strong understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, and care quality. Candidates with a greater management focus are preferred. You will need to be confident in decision-making under pressure and managing floor-level issues effectively.
The candidate must possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate staff, de-escalate situations, and foster a positive, inclusive culture. The position requires a flexible, adaptable individual who aligns with the provider's values of caring, authenticity, respect, and excellence, and is committed to continuous improvement in a non-corporate environment.

Location
The home is based in Worthing and would be a suitable commute from Brighton, Littlehampton, Shoreham-by-Sea, Lancing, or Chichester (max 45 minutes due to local traffic).
Summary
