Home Manager – Residential Care

Are you an experienced Home Manager looking to lead a well-established residential care home with an excellent reputation?

Compass Associates are working with a long-established, family-owned care provider to recruit an experienced Home Manager for one of their residential care homes in Greater Manchester.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build on the home's existing strengths, continue delivering high-quality care and lead the service through its next chapter.

The Role

As Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the safe, effective and commercially successful running of the home.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, supporting and developing the staff team.
• Ensuring high standards of person-centred care and resident experience.
• Maintaining CQC compliance and strong governance.
• Managing recruitment, retention and workforce planning.
• Driving occupancy and maintaining relationships with residents, families and local professionals.
• Overseeing staffing costs and operational performance.
• Identifying opportunities to improve quality while preserving the home's strong community reputation.
• Working closely with the Directors on key decisions while taking ownership of the day-to-day operation of the home.

This is a genuine leadership opportunity where you'll be trusted to run the home with autonomy while having the support of an experienced senior leadership team when needed.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Home Manager or Registered Manager with:

• Previous experience managing a residential elderly care service.
• A strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• A visible, approachable and supportive leadership style.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial awareness, including occupancy and workforce management.
• A passion for delivering exceptional, person-centred care.
• A Level 5 qualification (or equivalent).
