Contract: Full-time | Permanent | Nights (36 hours/week)
Salary: £13.40 per hour | £22,944 per annum (based on 33 paid hours)

About the Role

We’re proud to be partnering with a respected care home provider with several well-regarded services across the North East. This small, fully occupied residential care home in Chester-le-Street is rated ‘Good’ across all areas by the CQC and enjoys an excellent reputation in the community.

They are currently looking to recruit a Senior Care Assistant to join their night team on a full-time permanent basis.

Night Shift Details

• Working Hours: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Shifts: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total)
• Team Structure: You’ll be supported by another Senior and two Care Assistants during the night

About You

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key leadership role on shift — supervising staff and ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered throughout the night. You will be compassionate, reliable, and take pride in supporting elderly residents with dignity and respect.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred)
• Experience in a Senior Carer or Team Leader role within elderly care
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Passion for delivering exceptional care
