Compass Associates source top General Managers for leading care provider 

Compass Associates were exclusively mandated by Barchester Healthcare – a pre-eminent provider of Residential and Nursing Care for the Elderly communities – to assist with a partnership to secure the absolutely top Care Home management talent in the UK markets. 

The Elderly Care division at Compass Associates has one of the most enviable reputations in the Care Home markets in all aspects of recruitment: the team have an exceptional track record of delivery, are networked across the whole of the UK, and have been trusted by some of the leading Providers in industry to help build leadership teams. 

Owing to the long-standing relationship with key Board members, and for the aforementioned reasons, Compass Associates were tasked with identifying, headhunting, and delivering, the top 5% of Home Managers within the sector – over a timescale of fifteen months (June 2017 – September 2018). 

Over the course of the project, the team maintained strong levels of delivery, which included some of the following statistics: 

• 476 CV’s submitted 

• 297 interviews arranged 

• 81 offers generated 

• Northern Region (including Scotland): 24 

• Central Region: 12 

• Southern Region: 41 

• Hospitals: 4 

Each search involved a meticulous mapping of the local area, including relevant competitor analysis, to ensure the candidate attraction strategy was thoroughly adhered to. The due diligence ensured that only the most suitable candidates were submitted for consideration – particularly important so as to ensure high engagement throughout the process from both a candidate and client experience. The former were not actively seeking new opportunities, so a targeted headhunting approach was key to the success of identifying appropriate talented individuals.
