Regional Clinical Director (Adult LD and Autism) placed at Complex Care provider 

Compass Associates supported a private equity backed provider of complex care – ranging from mental health, learning disabilities and neurological care for both adults and children – to secure a Regional Clinical Director who would be responsible for Adult Learning Disabilities and Autism in the business.

Owing to the nature of this urgent hire, Compass Associates were approached by the Regional Operations Director with whom the team had a long-standing relationship and had delivered across multiple services in the business for a number of years, to recruit this critical headcount. 

The successful candidate would need to be a qualified psychologist – either clinical or forensic – with experience in Adult Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health. It was also critical that candidates would have a demonstrable track record of managing multiple services at regional level, as the role would require them to support 28 sites. 

Four candidates meeting the client’s expectations were submitted, all of whom were invited to a first stage interview conducted virtually, before three were progressed to a second stage face-to-face meeting. A candidate was identified, and the offer was extended and accepted first time – all completed in a timescale of less than six weeks from the initial briefing, through to the offer being accepted.
