Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled HCPC-registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team at a leading mental health and addiction rehabilitation facility. This is a part-time role (22.5 hours per week) supporting both inpatient and outpatient clients.
Our service provides evidence-based treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, and other psychological challenges. We believe that everyone deserves high-quality support to overcome their difficulties and build a fulfilling, independent life.
Responsibilities
- Conducting psychological assessments using interviews, observation, and standardized tools to understand clients’ emotional, cognitive, and behavioral needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized evidence-based therapy plans for individuals, couples, or groups.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support clients’ recovery and wellbeing.
- Monitoring and evaluating progress, adjusting interventions as appropriate.
- Maintaining high professional standards, adhering to ethical guidelines, and keeping skills up to date through continuous professional development.
- Supporting routine tasks and activities that enhance patients’ dignity, comfort, and therapeutic experience.
Candidate Requirements
- HCPC-registered as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, either newly qualified or with post-qualification experience.
- Experienced in conducting psychological assessments and delivering evidence-based therapies tailored to individual needs.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and resilient, able to support clients through both challenges and successes.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Highly professional, with excellent communication, organizational skills, and emotional intelligence.
- Previous experience in clinical, counselling, or addiction settings is highly desirable.
