Are you an experienced ADHD clinician with a passion for clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement?

We are partnering with a growing independent healthcare provider delivering ADHD assessment and treatment services across the UK.

As the service continues to expand, we are looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Quality Lead to develop and implement a robust clinical quality framework, supporting safe and effective care across a large multidisciplinary clinical workforce.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician with a strong background in ADHD assessment, prescribing and clinical governance to make a meaningful impact on service quality and patient outcomes.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, you will play a key role in strengthening clinical governance across an established ADHD service delivering approximately 2,000 assessments per month.

Working closely with the Clinical Director, Consultant Psychiatrists and senior operational leadership, you will act as the first point of contact for clinical concerns while designing and implementing a sustainable quality assurance framework.

This is a hands-on clinical leadership position combining clinical decision-making, audit, governance, quality improvement and service development.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Governance

  • Act as the first clinical point of contact for clinical queries, concerns and complaints.

  • Review patient records, clinical decisions, prescribing practices and treatment pathways.

  • Provide guidance on ADHD medication management, including titration, controlled drugs and shared care arrangements.

  • Identify clinical risks and escalate complex cases appropriately.

  • Support safeguarding, incident investigations and clinical performance concerns.

Quality Assurance & Service Improvement

  • Develop and implement a structured clinical quality assurance framework.

  • Establish risk-based clinical audits across the multidisciplinary workforce.

  • Review clinical complaints, identify recurring themes and implement improvements.

  • Develop clinical protocols, guidance documents and standardised processes.

  • Introduce quality monitoring systems and reporting dashboards.

  • Support clinical education and development through audit findings and feedback.

  • Ensure the service maintains appropriate clinical governance standards and CQC-ready documentation.

Project Delivery & Handover

  • Establish the clinical quality framework within the first month.

  • Implement sustainable audit, reporting and quality improvement processes.

  • Work collaboratively with clinical leadership to embed improvements across the service.

  • Document processes and ensure a structured handover at the end of the six-month contract.

About You

We are interested in hearing from experienced clinical professionals, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists and other appropriately registered prescribing clinicians, who can demonstrate:

  • Current GMC, NMC or GPhC registration without restrictions.

  • Independent prescribing qualification.

  • Significant experience in ADHD assessment and medication management, including stimulant titration and controlled drugs.

  • Strong experience in clinical governance, quality assurance and clinical audit.

  • Confidence reviewing clinical practice and providing constructive feedback to other clinicians.

  • Experience investigating clinical concerns, complaints and incidents.

  • Excellent communication, clinical judgement and report-writing skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in a Clinical Lead, Clinical Governance Lead or Quality Lead position.

  • Formal quality improvement training.

  • Experience within private healthcare, community services or digitally delivered healthcare.

  • Knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience working across both adult and children and young people's ADHD pathways.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Competitive salary of £72,000 – £82,000.

  • Opportunity to influence clinical standards across a large and growing ADHD service.

  • Direct collaboration with senior clinical leadership.

  • A varied role combining clinical expertise, governance and service development.
