Overview
Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with an established Complex Care at Home provider supporting children and young adults with long term health conditions or life limiting conditions in gaining independence being with their families in the own home. The organisation is focused on delivering the highest quality of care in the community whilst continuing to grow its services and strengthen operational leadership.
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to support the Clinical Registered Manager and play a key role in day-to-day leadership, service assurance, and team performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Care Coordinator, Branch Manager or Deputy Manager in a domiciliary setting or complex care at home setting to step into a senior leadership role where your decisions will directly improve client outcomes, team accountability and family satisfaction.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day management of 7 Care Coordinators (growing to 10)
- Conducting service assurance audits and implementing improvement actions
- Handling complex complaints, concerns, and escalations
- Leading team meetings, supervision sessions, and 1:1 appraisals
- Introducing 360-degree appraisal processes for coordinators
- Attending Integrated Care Board (ICB) monitoring meetings when required
- Supporting payroll administration and rota oversight
- Ensuring care scheduling meets client needs and package requirements
- Supporting recruitment for care packages and staffing optimisation
- Participating in on-call escalation management
- Undertaking client site visits alongside the Registered Manager
Work Pattern
Full time, Monday to Friday, office-based in London 4 days per week + 1 work from home day
Criteria
Proven experience in Complex Care / Domiciliary Care / Community particularly as a Care Coordinator
Previous team leadership or management experience (Branch Manager, Senior Care Coordinator or similar)
Strong experience in complaints handling and resolving client concerns
Experience conducting service assurance audits and quality checks
Understanding of CQC regulations and experience working in CQC regulated environments particularly in a similar setting
Experience working with NHS / ICBs
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care minimum and NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management desirable
Salary & Package
Up to £45,000 per annum + 25 days Annual Leave and 8 Bank Holidays
