Salary: £75,000 – £80,000 per annum + 30% Bonus

We are working with a respected care provider seeking an experienced and dynamic Home Manager to lead a large, purpose-built elderly care home in Hertfordshire. The service provides high-quality nursing, dementia, and residential care and holds a strong reputation within the local community.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven leader to take full operational responsibility for an established service, maintaining standards of excellence while driving further growth, quality, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full operational leadership of the home, ensuring outstanding standards of nursing, dementia, and residential care.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a stable, high-performing multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain full regulatory compliance and strong governance frameworks.
  • Drive occupancy, financial performance, and long-term sustainability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, local authorities, and healthcare professionals.
  • Embed a positive, transparent, and resident-first culture throughout the service.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as a Home Manager within an elderly nursing and/or dementia care setting.
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent).
  • Nurse-qualified (RGN/RMN) preferred, though experienced non-clinical managers with strong operational oversight will be considered.
  • Demonstrable success in achieving positive regulatory outcomes and managing compliance.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and improving occupancy.
  • An inspirational and visible leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.

The Package

  • Salary of £75,000 – £80,000 per annum (DOE).
