NVQ Level 5
Previous experience as a Registered Manager within an elderly residential care home
Experience managing residential and dementia services
Evidence of successful CQC inspections
Strong leadership and people management skills
The Role
Compass Associates are pleased to be partnering with a valued client to appoint an experienced Registered Home Manager for a well-established residential care home in the Cumbria area. The service is part of a small, family-owned organisation that is deeply committed to high-quality, values-led care and takes pride in being visible, supportive, and involved in its homes.
The role is based within a small-bedded residential and dementia service, offering the incoming manager the opportunity to make a genuine impact on both residents and staff. Working closely with the owners and senior leadership team, the successful candidate will enjoy autonomy in running the home while benefiting from a collaborative and supportive leadership approach. This is an ideal opportunity for a care-led manager who is passionate about developing teams and maintaining high standards of care.
Candidate
Do you come from a background of managing residential and dementia care homes and have a genuine passion for delivering high-quality care? Are you a strong, personable leader who values staff development and building positive relationships within a service?
To be considered, you’ll be an experienced Registered Manager who is highly care-led and motivated by making a real difference. You’ll be confident in coaching and mentoring staff, building stability within the workforce, and leading by example.
A strong understanding of the CQC framework is essential, alongside experience of maintaining GOOD ratings.
This role would suit someone who brings a high level of commitment to quality care and aligns with a values-driven, family-run organisation.
Interview Process
The interview process will consist of 3 stages, inclusive of an initial chemistry call.
Location
The role is commutable from: Kirkby Stephen, Appleby-in-Westmorland, Kendal, Penrith, Sedbergh, Shap, Richmond and surrounding rural areas.
