We are working exclusively with a highly regarded elderly care provider to recruit an experienced Home Manager for one of their established residential and dementia care homes in Essex.

 

The home is currently benefiting from additional operational support following a recent management change and is seeking an experienced leader to provide stability, maintain high standards of care and continue building a positive culture for both residents and colleagues.

 

This provider has an excellent reputation within the elderly care sector, operating a portfolio of high-quality residential, dementia and nursing services across the region. They pride themselves on investing in their people, maintaining strong compliance standards and providing Home Managers with the autonomy and support needed to succeed.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong operational leadership across the home, ensuring outstanding person-centred care is consistently delivered.

  • Maintain and further develop a positive, stable culture for residents, relatives and colleagues.

  • Lead the home through continued compliance with CQC regulations, ensuring high-quality governance and auditing processes.

  • Develop and support the management team whilst promoting staff engagement and retention.

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and local stakeholders.

  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver excellent operational and commercial performance.

  • Participate in the management on-call rota.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Existing Registered Home Manager within an elderly residential, dementia or nursing care home.

  • Demonstrable history of achieving Good CQC inspection outcomes.

  • Candidates with recent Requires Improvement ratings are unlikely to be considered.

  • Recent inspection experience is highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to lead stable teams with excellent staff retention.

  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

  • A consistent employment history demonstrating longevity within previous management positions.

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to participate in the on-call rota.

  • Stable staffing with no current agency usage.

  • Supported by an experienced senior management structure.

  • New Deputy Manager already in post, providing additional management support.

The home is located within Essex and is easily commutable from Chelmsford, Basildon, Brentwood, Wickford, Billericay, Rayleigh, Benfleet, Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding areas.
