Overview

 

Compass Associates is delighted to assist a leading Social Care provider in their search for an experienced Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a Supported Living Service. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to lead a team in providing exceptional care and support to adults with complex needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being.

 

As a Home Manager, you will play a pivotal part ensuring the home meets the highest standards of care. You will be a role model for your team, promoting a supportive and enabling environment while driving continuous improvement in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the supported living service, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and person-centred environment.
  • Home Manager promotes a supportive and enabling environment for the people we support, modelling high standards of professional practice.
  • Lead, manage, and support a team of care professionals within the supported living service, ensuring they deliver high-quality care in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective communication between the home, support functions, and management, maintaining clear channels for feedback and improvement.
  • Oversee the recruitment, induction, supervision, and appraisal of team members for the supported living service, identifying and meeting ongoing learning needs.
  • Home Manager ensures the emotional, spiritual, physical, medical, and material needs of the people we support are met through person-centred care planning and outcome setting.
  • Manage day-to-day expenditure within prescribed limits and ensure robust financial and administrative systems are in place.
  • Ensure the supported living service complies with fire regulations, health and safety legislation, and environmental health standards.
  • Act as the main point of contact for complaints, grievances, and safeguarding concerns, ensuring they are handled in line with company policies and procedures.

 

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

 

  • Proven track record as a Home Manager or experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up
  • Experienced in assessments and management of a team in accordance with agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Experienced in working at a senior level with other departments and external agencies. 
  • Experienced in financial oversight of a team or department’s budget.  
  • Experience in the management of Equal Opportunities & Diversity policy in a Social Care or Health Care setting
  • Experience of working in a special needs environment
  • Clean driving licence, for access to a company vehicle.
