Nursing Home Manager – Elderly Care
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent.
Salary: Up to £85,000 per annum + performance-related bonus
The Opportunity
Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established, family-run care provider to recruit a Registered Home Manager for a medium-sized nursing home in Sittingbourne, Kent.

The Role
As Home Manager, you will be entrusted with leading the home in a way that reflects the provider’s family-led values and long-standing commitment to compassionate care.
You will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring high clinical standards, regulatory compliance and financial stability. More importantly, you will play a key role in nurturing a positive, inclusive culture where staff feel supported, residents feel at home, and families feel listened to.
This is a visible, hands-on leadership role. You will work closely with senior leadership within the group, contributing ideas, driving continuous improvement and maintaining the strong sense of community that defines the organisation.
You will:
- Lead with empathy, integrity and approachability
- Be passionate about creating a genuine “home from home” environment
- Take pride in developing and retaining staff within a supportive culture
- Be confident in managing compliance, performance and budgets
- Build trusted relationships with residents, relatives and external professionals
- This role would suit a manager who thrives in a family-run environment where decisions are made collaboratively and quality of care always comes first.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience managing a residential or nursing home
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding
- Demonstrable leadership and team development experience
- Financial awareness and experience managing home performance
- Clinical qualification (RGN/RMN) desirable but not essential
- A positive, hands-on leadership style aligned with a values-driven culture
