Overview

 

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a supportive, multidisciplinary team in a serene, countryside setting. The role offers the opportunity to work in an environment that actively promotes wellbeing and recovery, combining personalised therapy with evidence-based interventions. You will play a key role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and a fulfilling daily life.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental needs to identify barriers to daily living.
  • Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based treatment plans addressing functional goals, including self-care, work, education, and leisure.
  • Recommend and provide adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, training clients on their effective use.
  • Deliver therapy through both individual and group sessions, using therapeutic exercises, sensory integration, and coping skills training.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and liaise with caregivers, documenting progress, adjusting care plans, and advocating for clients within healthcare and social support systems.
  • Support patients’ dignity, wellbeing, and overall recovery through compassionate care and engagement in meaningful activities.

 

 

Candidate Requirements

 

  • BSc (Hons) or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Prior experience in an Occupational Therapy setting; experience in specialist areas such as neuro-rehabilitation is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships and use effective coaching and counselling techniques.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to navigate complex or challenging situations with empathy.
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the capacity to work in a physically, emotionally, and sensory demanding environment.
