Compass Associates are working a nationwide charity to recruit a part time Senior Speech & Language Therapist for their specialist neurobehavioural assessment and rehabilitation unit in York.
This role is based at purpose-built hospital in York for adults with acquired brain injuries and complex needs including social, physical, cognitive and emotional difficulties, disinhibited behaviour and physical/verbal aggression. The hospital accommodation is comprised of ensuite patient bedrooms and four step down transitional apartments. In addition to this, the services’ facilities include sensory/therapy gardens, therapy kitchens, fully equipped gym, activity rooms, family rooms and sensory room.
Your role will involve carrying out comprehensive assessments, formulating rehabilitation plans and delivering specialist therapeutic interventions, whilst working within a wider MDT which includes Psychiatrists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Social Workers and Rehabilitation Support Workers.
