Permanent, Part Time (21 hours/week)

Salary: £38,600 - £46,500 (Pro rata)

Remit

Compass Associates are working a nationwide charity, who provide specialist support for adults with a range of brain injuries, to recruit a part time Speech & Language Therapist for their neuro rehabilitation unit in Leeds.

This role is based at a specialist assessment and rehabilitation unit in Leeds for adults with backgrounds of stroke and acquired brain injuries, who may have additional complex physical disabilities and/or challenging behaviours. You’d carry out comprehensive assessments, formulate rehabilitation plans and deliver specialist therapeutic interventions, whilst working within a wider MDT.

The service is comprised of fully accessible ensuite bedrooms, as well as an onsite transitional living bungalow for patients who are ready for increased independent living. In addition to the accommodation, the unit has fully equipped rehabilitation kitchens, therapy rooms, physiotherapy gym, communal areas, large garden and activities room.

Location

The role is based on site in Leeds so is commutable for candidates in areas including; Bradford, Horsforth, Castleford, Wakefield, Dewsbuy, Mirfield, Huddersfield, Garforth, Wetherby, Pontefract, Halifax, Barnsley and surrounding towns.

Candidate

The successful candidate must have:

• A recognised degree in Speech & Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Completed dysphagia competencies
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in dysphagia management
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience within inpatient or community neuro rehab
