Compass Associates is happy to introduce this role from one of the UK’s largest community pharmacies, renowned for exceptional service and proactive problem-solving, looking for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to fill a vital role within a highly motivated team. A successful candidate will have remarkable communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced customer-focused environment with a focus on care and respect, while being trusted to make decisions to improve the experience of the customer and organisation.
Our client is based in the seaside town of Scarborough, known for its historic sites like the 12th-century Scarborough Castle, as well as multiple scenic beaches. The client has a big customer focus with services ranging from everything from expert care and advice to preparing medicine using correct dosages and materials. A “can-do” attitude is vital and having genuine passion is key to this role which requires providing expert care and advice to a wide range of customers, as well as excellent team management and communication skills.
The Pharmacy Manager position will oversee the successful delivery of agreed KPIs, helping achieve deliverable metrics by reviewing performance and engaging with colleagues while being accountable for the pharmacy.
Experience Required
- Possess a Pharmacy degree
- Hold membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Pharmacists will have to complete a DBS check prior to commencement of employment
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Integrity and compassion
- Experience working in the community pharmacy sector.
- Experience of working in a team.
- Shows care and compassion for customers and is always helpful.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering pharmacy services.
- Ability to use own initiative to help resolution of customer queries.
- Ability to deliver the highest level of customer service, building relationships with customers colleagues and the community
Importantly, the ideal candidate will not only possess technical pharmacy skills but also show an aptitude for customer service, collaboration, and potential growth within the organisation
Role Responsibilities
- You will emphasise the importance of clinical governance and investing time in training your colleagues
- Proactively developing Pharmacy sales, services and profitability in a cost effective and safe manner, you will adhere to legal, ethical and company requirements/ systems
- You will manage the Department and manage individual staff competence, as well as a high performing Pharmacy Team making sure you develop, implement and share best practice
- Focus on the day-to-day business, as well as medium term operation, you will be expected to regularly audit staff, services, systems, records and standards

This role is based in Scarborough – commutable from Scalby, Irton, Seamer, East Ayton, Cayton, Filey, Middlesborough, Hull and York
