Quality & Compliance Lead – Health & Social Care

Location: Oxford (with flexibility to travel)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £45,000 per annum (negotiable for exceptional candidates)

 

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality & Compliance Manager to join a reputable care provider in Oxford. This is a brand-new position, created to drive continuous improvement, support regulatory compliance, and maintain the highest standards of safety and person-centred care.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care management within domiciliary care, live-in care, or supported living, and will be confident working independently to review, assess, and uplift quality across the service.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of quality assurance and compliance across care services.

  • Conduct in-depth audits of care plans, risk assessments, and care delivery processes.

  • Prepare the service for upcoming CQC inspections, aiming to achieve and maintain a “Good” or higher rating.

  • Collaborate with Care Managers and operational teams to implement best practice frameworks.

  • Identify areas for improvement and create clear, actionable quality improvement plans.

  • Monitor safeguarding practices and work proactively to reduce potential risks.

  • Produce regular reports for senior leadership highlighting risks, trends, and outcomes.

  • Keep updated with regulatory and legislative changes relevant to adult social care.

  • Deliver coaching and guidance to care teams on compliance and quality improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a care management or quality assurance role within health and social care.

  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations, audits, and adult safeguarding.

  • Background in home care, live-in care, or supported living settings is highly desirable.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and report writing skills.

  • Able to travel locally as needed for service reviews and audits.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care (or working towards).

  • Previous experience preparing services for CQC inspections.

  • Right to work in the UK and current UK driving licence.
