Registered Branch Manager – Domiciliary Care

Location: Bishops Stortford

Salary: £45,000 per year + 10% performance-related bonus
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

 

Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Branch Manager to lead a high-performing domiciliary care service in Bishops Stortford. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and capable leader with a proven background in home care management. The successful candidate will oversee a busy care operation delivering 4,500+ care hours per week, managing a team of 230+ carers and approximately 20 office staff. The branch holds an Outstanding CQC rating and has ambitions to grow to 5,500–6,000 weekly care hours over the next 12 months.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a large domiciliary care branch

  • Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, ensuring high standards of care

  • Drive business growth by increasing care hours and supporting strategic development

  • Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team including care staff and coordinators

  • Maintain excellent relationships with local authority commissioners and stakeholders

  • Handle complex care packages, new referrals, and urgent placements

  • Participate in an on-call rota for emergency and escalation support

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager in domiciliary care

  • Proven experience managing large-scale services with 4,000+ weekly care hours

  • Strong knowledge of compliance, safeguarding, and quality assurance

  • Experience working with local authority contracts and tendered care packages

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills

  • NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)

Schedule

Work Location

  • Office-based in Bishops Stortford

  • Local travel may be required for audits, meetings, or home visits
