Registered Home Manager | Residential & Dementia Care
Location: Cumbria (commutable from surrounding rural areas)
Salary: £45,000–£50,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday | some flexibility may be required for care-led leadership)
The Role
You will be responsible for the operational and care standards of a residential and dementia care service. Working closely with senior leadership, you will ensure policies and procedures are followed while maintaining a motivated, well-supported, and high-performing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on, care-led leader passionate about delivering outstanding residential and dementia care.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations in line with established policies and procedures.
- Provide visible leadership, coaching and mentoring staff to maintain high-quality care.
- Ensure residents’ needs are met and care standards are consistently delivered.
- Present service improvement ideas to senior leadership for review and approval.
- Maintain and build upon the home’s GOOD CQC rating.
- Support workforce stability and staff development in a rural setting, including management of recurring agency staff.
What You’ll Need
Essential:
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership/Management in Health & Social Care
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager in residential and dementia care
- Strong, personable, and care-led leadership style
- Confident in coaching, mentoring, and driving team performance
- Ability to work within established processes while maintaining high standards
Desirable:
- Experience managing in rural locations with occasional agency staff
- Previous experience maintaining or achieving GOOD CQC ratings
