We are looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Care Home Business Manager to oversee the full operation of a residential care home. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will balance high-quality, person-centred care with strong commercial performance and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and compliance
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing care team, promoting a positive and inclusive culture
- Ensure all care is person-centred, with regularly reviewed care plans that meet residents’ needs
- Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding, and all relevant legislation
- Drive occupancy and revenue growth through effective marketing and relationship building
- Manage budgets and expenditure, ensuring financial targets are achieved
- Oversee recruitment, training, performance management, and retention of staff
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
- Lead on quality assurance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure safe staffing levels through effective rota and absence management
- Promote a safe, welcoming, and high-quality living environment for residents
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a care home setting
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, resilient, and proactive leadership style
- Passionate about delivering outstanding care and improving residents’ lives
- Confident using digital systems and care management software
