Title: Registered Manager - Acquired Brain Injury Residential Service

Location: North Manchester

Salary: Circa £48,000 per annum | Annual bonus

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Registered Manager who leads from the front?

Are you ready to lead a service, build a united team and shape the culture of a home?

Overview:

Compass Associates are proud to be working with a leading national provider of specialist care, supporting them in the appointment of a Registered Manager for one of their residential services in North Manchester.

Our client is known for delivering high-quality, person-centred support to adults with complex needs, and invests heavily in its people. Every service is backed by a dedicated team of Clinical and Specialist Advisors, an award-winning Learning and Development team, and a genuinely hands-on operations team who make the time to support their managers. As part of a wider group, there is a whole world of opportunity available, with many of their managers having progressed into senior leadership roles.

Alongside a competitive salary and bonus north of 20%, you’ll receive 32 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), enhanced maternity and paternity pay, a pension scheme, free DBS checks and renewals, an Employee Assistance Programme, a generous staff referral scheme, monthly recognition awards, a Christmas gift, and Blue Light Card discounts.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you’ll take full leadership of a residential service supporting adults with an acquired brain injury. The service offers a calm, structured and empowering environment where people relearn essential life skills and work towards greater independence. The service is currently full and rated Good by CQC.

This is a role for a strong, resilient and fair leader. The service needs someone to stabilise and strengthen the team culture, lead by example, and build a positive, united staff team focused on the people they support. You’ll be someone who does things by the book and applies policy fairly and consistently, while also being approachable and able to build genuine relationships with your team.

You’ll lead a team including a Deputy Manager, four Senior Support Workers and a team of Support Workers. Longer term, you’ll develop your team’s skills and confidence, growing your Deputy towards registered manager level and your Seniors towards deputy level, creating a strong leadership pipeline within the service.

This is not a nurse-led service, so no nursing PIN is required. You’ll register with CQC as the Registered Manager.

You’ll report into a highly supportive Regional Manager and be backed by the Operations Director, with full support given to help you make the right decisions for the service. Future progression could include peripatetic or multi-site opportunities across the region.
