The Role:

As the Registered Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the smooth running of a recently transformed 4-bedroom home. You will build and lead a dedicated team of care professionals, embedding a strong safeguarding culture and ensuring exceptionally high standards are upheld every single day.

This is a hands-on, highly active leadership role where you will be on the floor as part of the operational numbers, coaching staff, managing complex behaviors, and directly supporting adults aged 16 to 25 during critical transitions. You will work closely with specialist support teams to develop tailored care plans and positive behavior support strategies, while actively managing key external relationships with local authorities, social workers, commissioners, and families.

You will report directly to an Area Manager and work alongside a supportive regional network to maintain quality, regulatory compliance, and smooth service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the operational management of the home, embedding a strong safeguarding culture and taking full responsibility for decision-making.
• Actively lead, coach, and mentor a newly built care team, fostering collaborative working and strong team cohesion.
• Remain actively involved on the floor, supporting individuals with complex needs, autism, and challenging behaviors.
• Carry out assessments and care planning for new placements as the home fills its vacant beds.
• Engage directly with families, social workers, local authorities, and community health teams to build robust professional relationships.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards, including CQC requirements, health and safety guidelines, and internal policies.
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding within the service, ensuring the care team is fully staffed and well-supported.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing care services within a similar CQC regulated environment.
• Essential qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge and practical skill in supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs.
• Strong hands-on approach with willingness to be active on shift, manage challenging behavior, and implement positive behavior support.
• High resilience, strong decision-making skills, and proven leadership capability in a residential setting.
• Excellent communication skills for managing external stakeholders, including families and local authority commissioners.

Desirable:

• NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care.
• Prior experience with service setups, commissioning, or managing transitions for young adults aged 16 to 25.

Working Pattern:
