Overview:
Compass Associates are proud to be working with a new, highly specialist mental health and wellbeing provider to recruit Clinical Psychologists to join their expanding multidisciplinary clinical team in the UAE.
The service has been developed as a world-class specialist environment focused on mental health, psychological wellbeing, personal development and long-term wellness. Providing structured, individualised programmes, the service takes a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to supporting individuals throughout their clinical journey.
This is an exciting opportunity for Clinical Psychologists to join the service during its development and contribute to the delivery and development of high-quality psychological care within a specialist residential clinical environment.
The service is looking for strong clinical generalists with excellent psychological assessment, formulation and intervention skills, who are confident working with a range of mental health and psychological presentations.
Working as part of a highly multidisciplinary team, Clinical Psychologists will work alongside Psychiatrists, physicians, nurses and wider clinical colleagues to provide psychologically informed care throughout the patient's programme of treatment and wellbeing.
This is an opportunity to join a new service where clinicians will not only deliver direct clinical care but will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of clinical pathways, processes and psychological services from the outset.
Location:
This is a site-based position within a new specialist mental health and wellness facility in the UAE, located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, providing access to both cities and the surrounding areas.
The role would suit an experienced Clinical Psychologist looking to relocate internationally and contribute to the development of a new model of specialist mental health and wellbeing care.
Work Pattern:
Full-time positions are available, with Clinical Psychologists working across the different areas of the service as required.
The role will involve providing psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention within a multidisciplinary residential clinical environment.
Criteria:
- HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist with a BSc, MSc and/or relevant postgraduate qualification
- Must be able to meet the UAE Department of Health (DOH) Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR)
- Ideally a minimum of 2 years' relevant post-qualification experience in mental health settings
- Strong experience in psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention
- Experience delivering evidence-based psychological therapies, such as CBT and/or DBT
- Arabic speaking is essential
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention across the service
- Assess and support individuals experiencing a range of mental health and psychological difficulties
- Develop individualised psychological treatment and wellbeing plans
- Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions, including CBT and/or DBT
- Provide both individual and group psychological interventions where required
- Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment, treatment planning and case reviews
- Support psychological risk assessment and management
- Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes and patient progress
- Work collaboratively with Psychiatrists, physicians, nurses and wider clinical colleagues within the MDT
- Contribute psychological expertise to clinical discussions and service planning
- Support clinical governance, audit and continuous service improvement
- Contribute to the development of psychological pathways, processes and services within the new facility
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure documentation meets relevant regulatory and professional standards
Interview Process:
This will be a competency-based interview process, focusing on psychological assessment and formulation, clinical intervention, risk management, multidisciplinary working and the candidate's ability to apply psychological models within a specialist mental health and clinical setting.
Arabic language competency will be assessed conversationally as part of the interview process.
Salary and Benefits:
The Clinical Psychologist positions are offering £60,000 – £70,000 GBP equivalent tax free per annum, depending on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including:
