Residential Deputy Manager | Residential & Dementia Care Home | Maidstone, Kent

 

Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: £42,000 per annum
Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, fully supernumerary)
On-Call: Alternate weekends

Overview

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established regional care provider to recruit a Residential Deputy Manager for a residential and dementia care home in Maidstone.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or ambitious Senior to step into a fully supernumerary leadership role, working closely with the Home Manager to drive improvements across quality, compliance, and overall service delivery.

 

The home is currently in a period of transition, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in environments where they can add structure, embed best practice, and positively influence team culture.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day operational leadership of the service
  • Lead on CQC compliance, audits, and governance processes
  • Oversee and improve care planning, risk assessments, and documentation standards
  • Drive quality improvements across care delivery and resident experience
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the staff team to ensure high performance
  • Support with rota management, staffing, and performance management
  • Act as Deputy in the absence of the Home Manager, including on-call duties
  • Play a key role in preparing the service for future CQC inspections

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Team Leader, or Senior within elderly care
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations, audits, and compliance
  • Experience within residential and/or dementia care settings
  • Confident in leading teams, managing performance, and driving change
  • Organised, resilient, and passionate about delivering high-quality care
