Salary: £50,000 per annum (DOE & pro-rata)

Overview:
Compass Associates is proudly supporting a leading independent special education provider to recruit an Occupational Therapist for their specialist SEN school based near Bagshot, Surrey. The school supports children aged 7 to 16 with autism and associated communication, sensory and learning needs, offering a therapeutic, inclusive and child-centred approach.
This is a term-time only position, making it ideal for clinicians seeking better work-life balance and time off during school holidays. You will be the sole OT on-site, supported remotely by a strong network of Occupational Therapists across the wider group, with structured clinical supervision provided.
Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, child-centred occupational therapy assessments and interventions

Develop and implement OT programmes to support students’ participation in education and daily life

Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and parents to integrate OT into classroom routines

Contribute to EHCPs, goal setting, and therapy reviews

Promote sensory regulation, motor skills development, and functional independence

Participate in CPD and occasional training days (2–3 days per year in summer holidays)
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
-
HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
-
Experience working with children and/or in SEN school settings
-
Comfortable working independently with support from a remote network
-
Strong communication, collaboration, and organisational skills
-
Car driver due to limited public transport links
Desirable:
-
Previous experience working with autism, sensory processing needs, or SEMH

Band 6 level or above
