Compass Associates are currently recruiting for a Senior Staff Nurse to join their ward team at a highly regarded independent hospital in Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced nurse who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting and is looking to play a key role within a growing and ambitious team.
Working alongside an experienced Ward Sister, you’ll help lead shifts, support junior staff, and deliver outstanding patient care across a varied surgical caseload.

You’ll work closely with highly experienced consultants and a dedicated multidisciplinary team, delivering first-class care from admission through to discharge and recovery.
The Role
This role is ideal for a senior nurse who can “hit the ground running” and enjoys taking ownership on shift. The ward team currently includes a mix of experienced and junior nurses, so strong clinical leadership, confidence and mentoring ability are essential. You’ll have the opportunity to support student nurses and junior colleagues in their professional development while helping maintain high clinical standards across the department. You’ll be trusted to manage complex patients, particularly during weekends and evenings when senior ward presence is critical.
