Overview

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join a specialist mental health service that supports adults with complex needs. The service provides a range of care pathways including secure care, inpatient rehabilitation, and acute mental health services, with a focus on recovery and successful reintegration into the community.

 

 

About the Role

 

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will have clinical responsibility for supporting in-patients and their families throughout their recovery journey. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing social care needs and planning appropriate interventions.
  • Advocating for service users and ensuring rights are upheld under relevant legislation.
  • Preparing reports for tribunals and care planning meetings.
  • Liaising with carers, families, and external agencies to coordinate support.
  • Safeguarding and risk management responsibilities.
  • Coordinating discharge planning and aftercare arrangements.

 

 

Ideal Candidate

 

  • Qualified and registered Social Worker.
  • Previous experience in a mental health or forensic setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, and mental health legislation.
  • Ability to work with individuals with complex and challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and ongoing learning.
