Sonographer Opportunity | Essex | Up to £60,000
I'm currently supporting a leading independent diagnostic imaging provider with the appointment of a Sonographer to join their expanding Ultrasound team across Colchester and Chelmsford
Location: Essex (Mobile role)
Salary: £49,000–£55,000 (Gen/Med) | Up to £60,000 (MSK)
Hours: Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours
The Opportunity
Compass Associates are delighted to be partnering with one of the UK's leading independent diagnostic imaging providers to recruit a Sonographer for a mobile service covering clinics across Essex.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sonographer looking to join a well-established organisation that delivers high-quality diagnostic imaging services across both NHS and private healthcare settings. You'll work autonomously while benefiting from a supportive clinical team and opportunities for ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations independently within your scope of practice.
- Produce accurate, high-quality reports and maintain excellent clinical standards.
- Deliver outstanding patient care while ensuring a safe and professional clinical environment.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians and the wider imaging team.
- Support clinical governance, audit, and continuous service improvement.
- Assist with training and development of colleagues where appropriate.
- Maintain CPD and stay up to date with current ultrasound practice.
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (DMU, PgD or MSc).
- HCPC or RCT registration.
- Experience performing General/Medical ultrasound examinations.
- MSK experience is highly desirable and attracts a higher salary.
- Previous UK clinical experience.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as this is a mobile role across Essex.
