An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, proudly independent veterinary group based in Worthing.
This is a varied first-opinion position offering the opportunity to manage your own caseload while working within a wider group that provides access to hospital, emergency and referral-level expertise.
The role would suit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys the variety of general practice and is looking for an environment where they can continue to develop their own clinical interests. Whether your strengths lie in surgery, medicine, dentistry, feline practice or another area of small animal practice, the group is committed to supporting professional development and helping its team pursue their individual interests.
The Practice
You'll be joining a well-established independent veterinary group with a network of local branch practices supported by larger, well-equipped veterinary hospitals.
The wider group also works closely with dedicated emergency and referral services, providing access to a broad range of clinical expertise and ensuring continuity of care for patients requiring more advanced treatment.
Your role will be predominantly focused on first-opinion small animal practice, with a varied caseload that may include:
The wider clinical team includes Veterinary Surgeons and RVNs with additional qualifications, certificates and advanced areas of expertise across surgery, diagnostic imaging, orthopaedics, ECC, physiotherapy and laparoscopy.
This creates an excellent environment for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys the autonomy of first-opinion practice while still having access to additional expertise and support when needed.
The Role
This is a genuinely varied position, giving you the opportunity to manage a broad first-opinion caseload while working as part of a collaborative and supportive clinical team.
You'll have the freedom to manage your own cases and build relationships with clients, while also having access to the wider group's hospital, emergency and referral services.
The group is keen to support Veterinary Surgeons in developing their own areas of interest, with funded CPD and certificate support available. There is also scope for the role to develop over time, including opportunities for additional responsibility and clinical leadership for those who are interested.
