Overview:
Compass Associates is excited to partner with the UK’s leading charity helping people to thrive after a brain injury. They treat people with a range of brain injuries – sustained through trauma, illness, substance abuse and more – to recover and meet their personal goals. We are currently recruiting for a Therapy Team Manager to provide robust and effective leadership to a specialised therapy.
The service, located near Hitchin, provides specialist care for individuals with neurological conditions or brain injuries, providing the care they need to optimise their health and wellbeing, maximise their independence and support their emotional and social needs.
The Role:
As the Therapy Team Manager, you will support the Senior Management Team in the delivery of services, quality improvement and clinical governance. You will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service, delivered within local and national guidelines and within the resources available.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee service delivery from referral to discharge to ensure treatment programmes are planned and delivered effectively.
- Lead clinical governance activity within the team regarding clinical risk management and for implementing clinical governance policies, standards and guidelines.
- Provide on-site deputy leadership for the team and take an active role in service developments using service user participation strategies, peer review, audit, and evaluation of outcome measures.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapy intervention to meet the assessed needs of service users.
- Facilitate the safe and smooth running of the Service, maintain a safe working environment, service user confidentiality, and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasks.
- Ensure documentation produced by other members of the team is in line with professional and the providers standards.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and experience:
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy.
- Registered with Health and Care Professionals Council.
- Proven experience of working in an appropriate service across healthcare settings.
- Experience of working with clients with moderate to advanced neurological disease and disability.
- Evidence of managing a team of staff including setting objectives, appraisal, recruitment and disciplinary issues.
Salary and Benefits:
