Ward Manager – Surgical Private Hospital

 

Guildford, Surrey | Up to £60,000 DOE | Full Time, Permanent | 37.5 Hours

We are currently recruiting for a Ward Manager to join a well-established private hospital in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior nurse to lead a highly skilled ward team within a modern, supportive clinical environment.

 

The Role

As Ward Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the inpatient ward, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a team of qualified nurses and healthcare professionals
  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the ward
  • Maintaining high standards of clinical care, patient safety and governance
  • Supporting, developing and motivating the nursing team
  • Managing staffing, resources and operational requirements
  • Working closely with Consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Continuously improving the patient experience and quality of care

 

What We're Looking For

You will be:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration
  • Experienced at Ward Manager, Junior Sister or Charge Nurse level
  • Able to demonstrate strong nursing leadership and management experience
  • Highly organised, motivated and confident leading a clinical team
  • Committed to delivering excellent standards of patient care
  • A strong communicator with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
