We are currently recruiting for a Ward Manager to join a well-established private hospital in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior nurse to lead a highly skilled ward team within a modern, supportive clinical environment.
The Role
As Ward Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the inpatient ward, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality patient care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing a team of qualified nurses and healthcare professionals
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the ward
- Maintaining high standards of clinical care, patient safety and governance
- Supporting, developing and motivating the nursing team
- Managing staffing, resources and operational requirements
- Working closely with Consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Continuously improving the patient experience and quality of care
What We're Looking For
You will be:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration
- Experienced at Ward Manager, Junior Sister or Charge Nurse level
- Able to demonstrate strong nursing leadership and management experience
- Highly organised, motivated and confident leading a clinical team
- Committed to delivering excellent standards of patient care
- A strong communicator with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
