The Role
Compass Associates are working on a Clinical Deputy Manager appointment for a 50-bed dementia nursing home in Sidmouth.
Mainly supernumerary with some clinical shifts and every-other-weekend on-call. You will be the clinical number two to an established Home Manager, leading the nursing team and owning care planning and governance day to day.
The home is stable, full and well-run. It now needs the right clinical deputy to complete the picture.
Candidate
We are seeking a clinically credible, visible and grounded leader with the presence to carry a team.
You will bring strong clinical judgement, calm authority and the ability to coach nurses and senior carers into higher standards. You will be comfortable owning clinical governance, care plan oversight and inspection readiness, and equally comfortable on the floor supporting the team through a shift.
Experience in dementia nursing, reducing agency reliance and sustaining Good outcomes will be central. Above all, the successful candidate will be motivated by the human impact of strong clinical leadership in a settled home that is set up to succeed.

On-site at the home, Sidmouth, Devon.
