Compass Associates are working with a leading care provider to recruit a Clinical Peripatetic Turnaround Manager to support a portfolio of nursing and residential homes across the Midlands. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on stabilising and improving services that require additional support. You will work closely with Home Managers and senior leaders to identify areas of non-compliance, implement robust improvement plans, and ensure homes meet and exceed CQC standards.
The role requires a confident and credible clinical leader who can quickly assess operational and cultural challenges, mentor management teams, strengthen clinical governance, and drive sustainable change. You will also step in to take full operational responsibility for homes when required, providing strong interim leadership to restore performance, improve quality of care, and embed long-term stability across the region.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience troubleshooting non-compliant nursing and residential homes, with a proven track record of improving and sustaining positive CQC outcomes. You will possess a strong understanding of CQC KLOEs, clinical governance, and regulatory frameworks, alongside the ability to implement effective action plans that deliver measurable improvements. The client will also consider high-performing Home Managers from compliant services who are seeking to move into a turnaround-focused role and can evidence consistent quality performance.
You must be resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with extensive travel, predominantly supporting services across the Midlands, with occasional national travel required to meet business needs. Above all, the organisation is seeking driven, determined leaders who are passionate about making a genuine difference to residents’ lives and committed to raising standards across the sector.

Location
This role would cover the Midlands, and would be a suitable commute from Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall, Solihull, West Bromwich.
Interview Process
This will be a three-stage interview process.
Stage one: Telephone pre-screen.
Stage two: Formal interview with Regional Manager.
Stage three: Formal interview with the Managing Director.
