Rate: £24.00 per hour
Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
Requirement: UK NMC Pin & previous experience in a Clinical Lead or senior nursing role

About the Role
Compass Associates are proud to be working with a respected care provider known for delivering high-quality residential and nursing care for elderly residents. We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager / Clinical Lead to join the team at a warm, welcoming 66-bed nursing home in Skelmersdale.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and clinically skilled Registered Nurse who is passionate about elderly care and thrives in a leadership position. The role offers a mix of hands-on nursing and dedicated management time, allowing you to influence care quality while remaining connected to residents and the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee clinical shifts, including some supernumerary time
Complete medication rounds, clinical assessments, and care reviews
Develop and maintain person-centred care plans
Supervise, mentor, and clinically develop a team of nurses and carers
Participate in GP rounds and liaise with families and external professionals
Support with audits, training, compliance, and quality assurance processes
Lead by example and promote a culture of excellence and compassion
Requirements:
NMC Registered Nurse – RGN
Strong clinical knowledge and experience within a care home setting
Minimum 2 years’ experience in elderly nursing care
Previous leadership or Clinical Lead experience preferred
Confident, approachable, and able to inspire and challenge positively
Committed to continuous improvement and delivering the highest standards of care
Interview Process:

This role is based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire and is easily commutable from Ormskirk, Wigan, Burscough, Southport, St Helens, and surrounding areas.
