Deputy Manager | Residential & Dementia Care Home

Location: Chorley

Salary: £45,000 per annum (potentially negotiable for the right candidate)

 

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with an established elderly care provider who are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join the senior leadership team at one of their modern residential and dementia care homes in Lancashire.

This purpose-built service provides high-quality residential, dementia and respite care within a welcoming, community-focused environment. Since opening, the home has built an excellent reputation for delivering person-centred care, achieving strong occupancy levels and creating a positive culture for both residents and colleagues.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager looking to join a supportive organisation that places a real emphasis on leadership, quality of care and employee development.

 

The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will:

  • Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operational leadership of the home.
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence.
  • Provide visible leadership and support to Team Leaders, Senior Carers and Care Assistants.
  • Drive high standards of care, governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead audits, quality improvement initiatives and continuous service development.
  • Support recruitment, induction, retention and development of colleagues.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, relatives and external professionals.
  • Promote a warm, person-centred culture where residents and their families feel valued and supported.
  • Help oversee a large staff team within a busy, high-quality care environment.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered, you should have:

  • At least 2 years previous experience as a Deputy Manager in an elderly residential setting  
  • Experience working within elderly residential and/or dementia care.
  • A strong understanding of CQC regulations, governance and quality standards.
  • Previous experience leading and developing care teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
  • Confidence managing large teams and building positive relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care.
