Are you a GP with a passion for Women’s Health looking for an opportunity to develop your specialist interests alongside your existing clinical commitments?

Compass Associates are working with a growing healthcare organisation that is developing new specialist clinical pathways across Surrey. We are looking to speak with experienced GPs with a Special or Extended Interest in Women’s Health who would be interested in joining the service as it develops.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a developing, patient-focused service designed to improve access to high-quality specialist care for women within the community.

The Opportunity

You will provide specialist GP-led Women's Health clinics, assessing and managing patients within your scope of practice and working collaboratively with the wider clinical and multidisciplinary team.

Depending on your individual experience and competencies, clinics may include areas such as menopause, menstrual disorders, contraception, reproductive health and other common women's health presentations.

The organisation is looking to build a flexible clinical workforce and is open to GPs wishing to undertake sessions alongside existing NHS, primary care or private-sector commitments.

As the service develops and patient volumes increase, there will be opportunities to increase your clinical commitment and contribute to the ongoing development of the pathway.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Assess and manage patients presenting with a range of Women's Health concerns.
• Deliver specialist GP-led Women's Health clinics within your agreed scope of practice.
• Develop appropriate investigation, treatment and management plans.
• Provide evidence-based advice and support to patients.
• Identify patients requiring escalation or specialist secondary-care review.
• Work collaboratively with Consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Support effective referral and follow-up pathways.
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance, documentation and patient safety.
• Contribute to the development of a high-quality, accessible and patient-centred Women's Health service.

What We Are Looking For

We would particularly like to speak with GPs who:

• Hold full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Have significant experience and a demonstrable interest in Women's Health.
• Have undertaken additional training or qualifications relevant to Women's Health.
• Are confident independently assessing and managing patients within their agreed scope of practice.
• Have experience within primary care, community services, Women's Health clinics or an equivalent specialist setting.
• Have a strong understanding of appropriate referral and escalation pathways.
• Are collaborative, adaptable and interested in working within a developing service.

Additional qualifications or competencies in areas such as menopause care, contraception, sexual and reproductive healthcare or gynaecology would be particularly welcomed.

Relevant qualifications may include FSRH qualifications, DRCOG or equivalent postgraduate Women's Health training, although the organisation is open to considering candidates based on their overall clinical experience and competencies.

Working Arrangements

The service is based across East Surrey / South London, with flexible working arrangements available depending on the clinical pathway.

There is flexibility around sessional commitment, making this an excellent opportunity for GPs looking to develop their Women's Health portfolio alongside existing NHS, primary care or private practice.
