This is an opportunity for an established quality and compliance professional to support a regional portfolio of domiciliary care branches and extra care services.

The organisation is operating from a stable compliance position, with strong quality systems already in place. You will build on these foundations, support Registered Managers and ensure services continue to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care.

The role

As Head of Quality, you will:

  • Ensure services remain compliant, inspection-ready and aligned with CQC Fundamental Standards.
  • Hold monthly quality and performance meetings with Registered Managers.
  • Complete regular branch audits, including care-plan sampling, documentation reviews and compliance checks.
  • Analyse quality data to identify trends, risks and areas requiring improvement.
  • Develop, implement and monitor service improvement plans.
  • Lead investigations and learning following incidents, safeguarding concerns or quality issues.
  • Provide guidance on safeguarding, medication, care documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Support services during CQC inspections and engagement with external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regional governance and best-practice meetings.
  • Maintain oversight of regional quality and compliance reporting.
  • Line manage and support two experienced Regional Trainers.
  • Monitor training compliance across care and office-based teams.
  • Work closely with operations, recruitment, HR, finance and other regional departments.
  • Contribute to wider quality projects, policies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the regional leadership team with tendering and procurement opportunities.

About you

We are looking for someone with senior-level experience in quality, compliance, governance or operational improvement within adult social care. Homecare or domiciliary care experience would be particularly advantageous due to the fast-paced, multi-site nature of the role. Applications will also be considered from candidates with relevant experience in:

  • Residential or nursing care.
  • Extra care services.
  • CQC or another regulatory organisation.
  • Local authority quality or commissioning teams.
  • Adult social care governance and compliance.
  • Multi-site quality management.

You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of adult social care regulations and CQC Fundamental Standards.
  • Experience preparing services for CQC inspections.
  • Experience supporting services through inspections and regulatory engagement.
  • Experience completing quality and compliance audits.
  • The ability to implement and monitor effective improvement plans.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, person-centred care and care documentation.
  • Experience analysing quality data and identifying themes, trends and risks.
  • The confidence to coach, support and constructively challenge Registered Managers.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple services.
  • A practical, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
  • A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel across the Midlands.

Working arrangements

  • The role is primarily based from the organisation’s Hinckley head office.
  • You will be expected to work from the office approximately three days per week.
  • Regular travel to domiciliary care branches and extra care services will form an essential part of the position.
  • Working hours will be managed flexibly to meet the needs of the region.

What is on offer?

  • Salary of £50,000 - £55,000 per year.
  • Permanent, full-time employment.
  • 37.5-hour working week.
  • Business mileage reimbursement.
  • An established regional quality function with existing group-level support.
  • The opportunity to influence quality standards across a growing regional portfolio.
  • Close working relationships with regional and group-level leadership.
