Location: Hampshire

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 Per Annum + Excellent Benefits

We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established elderly care provider to appoint an experienced Home Manager for one of their care homes in Hampshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established Home Manager to take overall responsibility for the quality, people, operational and commercial performance of the service, while working closely with a supportive regional structure.

The successful candidate will inherit a strong foundation and will have the opportunity to shape the next stage of the home's development, with a particular focus on quality, team stability, occupancy growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide visible, values-led leadership across the home.
• Lead, motivate and develop the management and wider care teams.
• Maintain strong CQC compliance, governance and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement across care delivery and operational performance.
• Support occupancy growth through strong relationship management and commercial awareness.
• Develop effective workforce planning, recruitment and retention strategies.
• Reduce agency reliance through robust rostering and staffing plans.
• Build strong relationships with residents, relatives, commissioners and healthcare professionals.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and resident-focused culture.
• Work collaboratively with Regional and central support teams to achieve excellent outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a successful Home Manager within elderly care.
• Strong experience within nursing and/or dementia care.
• Experience managing a medium to large elderly care service.
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations, governance and quality improvement.
• A proven track record of improving or maintaining quality outcomes.
• Commercially astute with experience of occupancy, staffing and workforce planning.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and people-development skills.
• A visible and approachable leadership style, with the ability to build trust quickly.
• Highly organised, systematic and resilient.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• A genuine passion for developing people and delivering excellent resident outcomes.

A nursing qualification is not essential for this position, and applications are welcomed from experienced non-clinical Home Managers with a strong background in nursing and dementia care.

The home is based in Hampshire and is easily commutable from a number of towns and cities across the county and surrounding areas, including:

Southampton, Winchester, Eastleigh, Fareham, Portsmouth, Romsey, Basingstoke, Andover, Petersfield, Havant, Waterlooville, Gosport and the wider Hampshire area.
