We are working exclusively with a highly regarded elderly care provider operating a national portfolio of purpose-built nursing and dementia homes. As part of this commitment to maintaining consistent standards across their portfolio, they are now seeking an experienced and quality-focused National Peripatetic Manager to join their operational team, supporting services across England and Scotland.

 

This is an exceptional opportunity for an established operator with strong multi-site or turnaround experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading teams to deliver sustainable improvements.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership and support to multiple nursing and dementia care homes nationally.
  • Work collaboratively with Home Managers and regional teams to drive quality, compliance, and service improvement.
  • Deliver robust action plans to address CQC requirements and maintain regulatory standards.
  • Lead and mentor managers, embedding a positive, supportive, and professional culture.
  • Support with occupancy, financial performance, and workforce stability across homes.
  • Contribute to wider group initiatives alongside the Chief Operating Officer and senior leadership team.

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven experience as a Peripatetic Manager, Regional Support Manager, or a strong Registered Manager overseeing large or multi-site nursing homes.
  • Strong understanding of CQC compliance, governance, and quality frameworks.
  • Hands-on and supportive leadership style with a clear focus on quality and people.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to balance performance and care outcomes.
  • Nursing qualification desirable but not essential.

Flexible to travel nationally as required, ideally based around Wigan, Liverpool, Manchester, Bolton, Warrington, Preston, Chorley, Blackburn, or surrounding areas.

 

The Role

Working as part of a small national support team, this role is integral to ensuring continuity and high standards across the provider’s portfolio, including homes in Scotland.

 

You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and play a key role in supporting the organisation’s values-led, quality-first approach.

 

Location

This role is home-based with national travel, ideally suited to candidates residing in or around Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire, Staffordshire, or North Wales.

 

Regular travel will be required across the UK, including occasional visits to services in Scotland and the Midlands.
