Peripatetic Support Manager | Elderly Nursing Homes
Location: Devon & Somerset
Salary: Up to £85,000 per annum + car allowance & bonus.
Compass Associates are delighted to be working with a quality-focused care provider who are looking to appoint an experienced Home Manager into a newly created Peripatetic Support Manager position, overseeing a cluster of nursing homes across Devon and Somerset.

The Role:
As Peripatetic Support Manager, you will work across a cluster of nursing homes throughout Devon and Somerset, providing hands-on operational and quality support to Home Managers and their teams. You will act as a key source of support across the region, helping homes maintain consistently high standards while identifying opportunities for improvement and sharing best practice.
Your responsibilities will include supporting:
- Quality and clinical standards across the homes
- CQC compliance and regulatory requirements
- Home Managers with operational challenges and performance
- Quality improvement plans and action plans
- Staffing, recruitment and team development
- Occupancy and commercial performance
- Leadership development and succession planning
Requirements:
- Nursing qualifications with an active PIN (RGN / RMN / RNLD)
- Experienced Home Manager within a nursing or elderly care environment.
- Strong knowledge of CQC, compliance, quality and clinical standards.
- A proven track record of delivering good quality outcomes within a care home setting.
- Confident supporting and developing other managers.
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of occupancy, budgets and operational performance.
- Resilient, adaptable and solutions-focused.
- A natural leader who can build trust and influence at all levels.
- Willing and able to travel across Devon and Somerset.
