Registered Home Manager – Nursing & Dementia Care

Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire £75,000 – £85,000 + bonus

Are you an experienced, nurse-qualified Home Manager looking for the opportunity to take genuine ownership of a growing care home and shape its next chapter?

This could be the role for you.

We are working with a highly regarded care provider to recruit an experienced Registered Home Manager for a modern nursing, residential and dementia care service in the Stoke-on-Trent area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and people-focused leader who enjoys building strong teams, developing occupancy and establishing a home as a trusted part of its local community.

Why this role?

This isn't simply about maintaining an established service.

The home is already operating with a positive foundation, but there is significant opportunity to grow occupancy, develop the leadership team and strengthen the home's profile within the local community.

You will have the autonomy to make a real difference, supported by an established organisation and the resources that come with it.

Your priorities will include:

  • Driving continued occupancy growth and commercial performance.
  • Developing and strengthening the HOD and leadership team.
  • Building excellent relationships with residents, families and key external stakeholders.
  • Developing the home's reputation and becoming a provider of choice within the local community.
  • Maintaining high standards of care, compliance and clinical governance.
  • Creating a positive, accountable and high-performing culture.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and ensuring the home remains regulatory-ready.

About you

We are looking for an established Home Manager who is ready to take on a role with genuine scope to influence and develop a service.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience as a Registered Home Manager within elderly care.
  • An active NMC PIN and a nursing qualification.
  • Experience managing a nursing, residential and/or dementia care service.
  • A strong understanding of CQC, clinical governance, safeguarding and quality assurance.
  • A demonstrable track record of improving occupancy and developing a home's local reputation.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including budgets, staffing, occupancy and financial performance.
  • Experience developing managers and building high-performing teams.
  • The confidence to build relationships with families, commissioners, healthcare professionals and community stakeholders.
  • A visible, empowering and inclusive leadership style.
  • The ability to balance exceptional care with strong commercial performance.

Commissioning or experience of developing a newer service would be advantageous, but the key requirement is a proven ability to grow and develop a home while maintaining high standards of care.

The opportunity

This is a genuine opportunity for an ambitious Home Manager to put their own stamp on a growing service.

You will have the support and resources of an established provider, while retaining the autonomy to lead your home effectively and make decisions that have a real impact.

If you are a nurse-qualified Home Manager who enjoys developing people, growing occupancy, building strong stakeholder relationships and creating a home that residents and families are proud to choose, we'd love to hear from you.

What's on offer?

  • £75,000 – £85,000 salary, depending on experience
  • Bonus opportunity
  • Pension
  • Annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Paid Enhanced DBS
  • Life assurance
  • Financial wellbeing support
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • GP and wellbeing support

  • Excellent learning and development opportunities
  • Support with recognised qualifications
