Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care

Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Salary: £40,000 – £42,000
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent

 

Compass Associates are working exclusively with an established domiciliary care provider to recruit an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established branch in Crawley, West Sussex.

 

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a domiciliary care branch currently delivering approximately just under 1000 care hours per week.

 

The service has an established operational history and a full office structure in place, however the incoming Registered Manager will play a key role in:

  • Strengthening quality and compliance standards

  • Preparing the branch for upcoming internal inspection activity

  • Rebuilding local authority commissioner relationships

  • Driving growth in both local authority and private care packages

This role will suit an experienced Registered Manager who is comfortable balancing compliance improvement with commercial development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold CQC Registered Manager status for the branch

  • Provide operational leadership across the domiciliary care service

  • Improve quality assurance, governance and regulatory compliance

  • Prepare the branch for internal inspections and regulatory oversight

  • Drive growth in care hours across both local authority and private markets

  • Manage and develop the branch office team including supervisors and coordinators

  • Oversee care delivery, rota management and service continuity

  • Strengthen relationships with local authority commissioners

  • Participate in the branch on-call rota shared across the management team

Team Structure

The Registered Manager will oversee an established office structure including:

  • Branch Supervisor

  • Care Coordinators

  • Care delivery team

The role reports directly to a regional Operations Manager, with additional support from the organisation’s senior leadership and quality teams.

 

Candidate Requirements

The client is seeking a proven domiciliary care leader with strong operational and regulatory experience.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within domiciliary care

  • Strong understanding of CQC regulatory frameworks and compliance

  • Demonstrable experience improving service performance and governance

  • Ability to grow service hours and build commissioner relationships

  • Proven experience managing and motivating care teams

  • Stable career history within the care sector

Package

  • Salary: £40,000 – £42,000

  • Full-time permanent contract

  • Monday to Friday working pattern (9am–5pm)

  • Support from regional operational and quality leadership teams
