We are delighted to be working with a respected elderly care provider in their search for a dedicated and experienced Senior

Care Assistant to join their residential care home in Widnes. This home offers high-quality, person-centred care in a warm and supportive environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Carer or Senior Care Assistant looking to progress and take on greater responsibility within a well-led team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medication in line with clinical protocols and training

• Contribute to care planning and ensure plans reflect each resident’s individual needs

• Carry out risk assessments and promote a safe environment for residents and staff

• Liaise with families and external healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care

• Support and mentor junior care staff, promoting best practices

• Maintain clear, accurate records and escalate concerns when needed

• Promote dignity, respect, and a high standard of person-centred care at all times

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a residential care setting is essential

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is ideal – or a commitment to work towards it

• Strong team player, confident communicator, and committed to high standards of care

• Experience supporting or supervising colleagues is advantageous
